How can I tell what version of E-Series Relay I have?

If your E-Series Relay has a USB port on the front panel, you have a second generation relay.  Your relay is at firmware version 3.0 or higher.  For details follow the instructions at the bottom of the page.

If the connector on the front panel of your E-Series Relay is a DB9, you have a first generation relay.

Follow the steps below to check the firmware version of your E-Series Relay (These steps are applicable to both first and second generation E-Series Relays):

Method 1:  From the relay Front Panel

  1. Select Menu
  2. Use the down arrow to scroll to Device Parameters.  Enter this menu option with the right arrow.
  3. Use the down arrow to scroll to Version.  Select this menu option with the right arrow.
  4. The firmware version and build number will be listed on the front-panel display.

Method 2:  From PowerPort-E

  1. Access your relay with PowerPort-E.
  2. In the Tree Menu, navigate to  Device Para > Version
  3. The firmware version and build number will be listed.

If your first generation E-Series Relay is running a firmware version below v 2.5, updating to firmware version 2.5 is recommended.

Make sure you are using the appropriate device model, corresponding with your firmware version.
